Fitness Friday

Fitness FridaysThings around here are pretty status quo.  The 5k is 2 weeks from tomorrow, but I still haven’t been able to put my hands on a course map  yet.  That makes me a little bit nervous.  I’d like to have a chance to drive the course before race day, just so I know what to expect.

I’m set to do c25k Week 7, day 2 today.  I’m still shooting for a 35 minute finish time.  I’m just so afraid I’m going to psych myself out.

It has been known to happen, you know.

I’m also still plugging away with the push ups.  I’m up to 25 modified push ups without stopping.  I’m liking the way my arms are starting to look.

Another fitness challenge is on the horizon, too!  The Sisterhood is hosting a 30 Day EA Sports Active Challenge for the Wii.  I am loving the idea that I’ll be able to keep going with my 5k training and do this challenge at the same time.

Emma goes back to school in a little less than two weeks.  That’ll open up a lot of exercise time for me.  I’ve been telling myself for 6 years that when the kids are in school, I will have all kinds of time to work out.

Let’s see if I stick to it.

  1. You are doing so great! I’m sure with those extra hours in your day you will do even better! Can’t wait to hear how you do in the race….and I’m so excited to start the new challenge this next week! I need to practice some tonight and tomorrow, though so I am a little more comfortable on it!
