Taking a look back at my Daily account for last week, I have to say I’m pretty happy with what I did!
While I didn’t get every single one of my planned workouts in while we were on vacation, I did end up doing quite a few of them. Balance on the treadmill on a ship proved to be quite an issue, so I had to cut a few of my runs short. The bike turned out to be pretty good, though.
My April race is tomorrow, and I have to say I’m a little nervous. More nervous than usual, anyway. It’s like I know something big is on the horizon, but it’s still a little too far off to see completely.
I ran the other day without music (totally forgot my iPod), and it gave me a lot of time to think.
I don’t ever truly push myself…not conventionally speaking anyway. Pushing myself, for me, is getting out the door in the first place. I may walk more than I want to, I may not be as fast as other people, but I am not sitting at home, watching TV. That’s pushing myself.
Then I read Lisa’s post.
So tomorrow I’ll push myself a little harder. I’ll step a little further outside of my comfort zone.
Because I can.
Tomorrow’s goal — PR this 10k by finishing under 1:13:00.
Because I can.
And I will.

you’ve got this!!!
Woot! Go Lisa for inspiring our Thea to do even more amazing things than exericing while on a cruise!! You are going to take that 10K and *own* it, baby!
(just excuse my typo)
