I’m kind of getting this fitness thing down, ya know?
I went so far yesterday as to split up a run instead of not doing it at all.
I really think half of my issue as far as consistency is the sense of “If I can’t do xyz, I might as well not do anything at all”.
Last night, I broke through that philosophy. I knew that I needed to get a run in. And I knew that I only had so much time to do it.
And then that time slipped away.
So instead of scrapping the run entirely, I split into two runs with a little (o.k., kind of big) break in between.
Was it ideal? No. Was it better than not running? Absolutely.
So, that was a run for the bank, as far as I’m concerned. I proved to myself that not doing it “perfectly” is better than not doing it at all.
In other non-running news, I have started a new challenge with some of my online friends to get some strength training in. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I will do at least 30 minutes of strength training.
I dislike strength training, like, a whole lot. Which is why I really need to do it.
My biggest challenge is going to be finding the time to do it.
But really, isn’t that ALWAYS the biggest challenge with EVERYTHING?

yes, indeed…never enough time. (sigh)
so i’ll throw my plug in for kettlebells! Strength and cardio all wrapped in one beautiful bell.
strength training is the best!!
you’re crazy me thinks.
Proud of you!!
