Alright. When we first started talking about moving to Maryland, we took a lot of things into consideration…
Being far (or further) away from family…
Uprooting Jake and Emma…
Higher cost of living…
It never even occurred to us to take the STINKIN’ WEATHER into account.
In February, we were housebound for…let’s see..the month of February.
The high temps (evidently our town hit 106 degrees while we were gone) and lack of precipitation this summer has fried our lawn. Well, at least the part that’s not in the shade. I am amazed at the delineation of shade/no shade.
And then? Last Friday? WE HAD AN EARTHQUAKE! It was about 20 miles south of us and it woke us up at about 5am. I knew right away what it was.

Where did we move?? I’m waiting for a hurricane, because I think that would be the ONLY thing that we haven’t experienced since we’ve been here!

Well…technically an earthquake doesn’t count as weather but as a geologic occurrence…
Not to argue semantics or anything…
Jason and I were in Hurricane Andrew in Miami in 1992. It was quite the event!
