Sisters Weigh In

shrinkintosummer-1It’s Week 5 over at the Sisterhood which means there’s only 3 weeks left in the challenge!

Apparently, I have hit some kind of road bump that causes me to eat everything I can get my hands on and give up on all dreams of ever running a 5k.

Stupid road bump.

I am up 3 pounds this week.

3 pounds makes me want to cry.

3 pounds means I have to pay at Weight Watchers.  Again.  After I vowed to not do that anymore.

3 pounds makes me feel like a hypocrite.

3 pounds makes me want to get some ice cream.

  1. Hello Drama Mama,
That would be low fat reduced calorie ice cream, right? :) I just started this whole I’m – actually – going – to- try to loose weight. Its obvious I need to, But try? Yeesh. Scary. I’m in awe that you post your weight goal right there on your sidebar! Good for you. I don’t have that courage! lol

Good luck this week. I know you can do it!
    Cathy

  2. Don’t let this bump stop your progress. I have been yo-yo’ing with the same 5 of my 30 pounds. I am a snacker. I understand the fight. Still hang in there!!!!!!!!!!
You can do this. If you still want the ice cream only have a tea cup amount.
    Good luck.

  3. get a tiny ice cream sandwich (still ice cream but only 110 calories) and then throw the tissues away! you CAN do a 5K! i’m not sure if you’re on a program or not, but you should try if you haven’t already…

i’m not a runner, and i’m doing my first 5K this weekend! i promise you if i can do it, you can! i would suggest going online and finding a 5K that will be held in about two months and register.

when you’ve got the fixed goal infront of you its easier to push yourself.

  4. Step away from the ice cream and leave the pity party NOW. That’s an order. Thea, it’s time to get your mind right and focus. You can do this. You have done this and been SO successful. It’s just a bump in the road and you need to decide whether you’re going to sit on top of it or descend off of it and get moving again. Did I mention that you CAN do this?

I had a rough couple of weeks and I think I’m finally back on my game. It’s hard, and it’s easy to just say screw it. Start shredding and start counting girl. I’m here for you if you need someone to set you straight :)

I order you to start writing your points down right now. Just do it. K?

  5. I can so relate to this post. I do so well during the week and as soon as we get to the boat it’s a battle. Too much food. Everywhere. I can so relate.

    Have a great day. :)

  6. Drama Mama – Please run your 5K! I ran my first 5k this weekend and all I can say is run as much as you can and then walk the rest. All that matters is that you finish. Just focus and you will be fine. Make sure you have good running shoes too.

In general, don’t beat yourself up. That always makes me reach for the ice cream as well!!

  7. *HUGS* I totally get that. Especially the ice cream. It’s totally not worth it though. Hang in there. Tomorrow is a new day and a new week. :)

  8. yes! you can do a 5k!! trust me on that!!!!!! please don’t quit, i know how it can be so frustrating with a gain, seriously. but just keep moving and keep that 5k in your sights!!! let that number just be a number — then eat your low-cal ice cream and move on!! remember, being able to run a 5k is about getting into better shape, not necessarily the numbers on the scale.

  9. I’m with Christy. Do I need to repeat her comment?

I am so so so so so proud of you for working out today! So proud! You’re getting back on the wagon!! (and I will drive up there if I have to.)

Did I mention I was proud of you? ;o)
