Today is a complicated day for me.
On the one hand, I am super excited because today is my blogging anniversary. Two years ago, I entered this great big bloggy world and it has definitely been a wild ride. Over 600 posts have been written. Over 6,000 comments have been recieved. It’s been a wild ride indeed.
On the other hand, my heart is breaking a little. One year ago, my friend Beth lost her precious babies, James and Jake. I’ve followed along as she’s shared with everyone with such honesty and eloquence her journey through grief and recovery.
I thought about how I could honor both days. I approached Beth with an idea I had and, after getting her blessing, I present to you the outcome.
Today, I will be giving away a $50 to Gift Certificate to…just about anywhere you want. Tell me where you want one from and if I can get it, it’s yours.
In addition, for every person that enters the contest (up to 250), I will donate $1 to Beth’s charity of choice. In April, she and her family and friends will walk in the March of Dimes March for Babies. They will walk as Team James and Jake.
So enter today to win something for yourself and, in the process, do something for someone else. If you are able, please go visit Beth’s donation page to help Team James and Jake reach their goal.
Update: I forgot the legal mumbo jumbo. This contest is open to U.S. residents only. I will leave the comments open until 8pm on Sunday, March 1st. All duplicate entries will be deleted. I will pick the winner based on the existing entries. Good luck!

I cannot believe it took me so long to join the blogging world… it is so full of sweet, compasionate people. And, like most everyone one else, if I win definitely donate my $50 to Team James and Jake!
