Welcome to Day 4 of the Bloggy Giveaway! Check out my previous giveaways for a Ticketmaster G.C. , a Boca Java G.C., and a Target G.C.
Basically, I post something to give away (as in “totally free to you”). You leave me a comment telling me that you want it. I choose a random commenter on Friday, January 30th. That person wins! Sounds simple enough, right? Right. You don’t even need a blog to win! (But please make sure you leave me a way to get in touch with you.)
Today, I am combining all 3 of my previous giveaways and offering 3 gift certificates: $25 each to Ticketmaster, Boca Java, and Target. Use it on yourself or give it as a Valentine’s Day or birthday present to someone you love! This contest is open to US residents only.
All you have to do is leave a comment describing your worst date EVER. Those comments that don’t answer this question will be deleted. I will close comments for this drawing at 3:00PM Eastern Time on Friday, January 30th. All duplicate entries will be deleted before the drawing and winner will be picked randomly from all entries that remain.
Thanks for stopping by and GOOD LUCK!

Worst date ever…was told to dress up in my best, was brought to see a movie I had no interest in where he tried to put “the moves” on me continuously, no matter how much i refused, than brought me to Perkins. When I said I wanted chicken, he groaned about how a kids meal would be cheaper.
Worst date ever- thankfully I didn’t have too many.. it was a guy I met on Match.com. He picked me up at 4:30, after saying he’d be there at 5 (as if that wasn’t early enough). Then he was boring. I was tired of him before we even made it to the restaurant. I contemplated stabbing myself with the butter knife to escape. It finally ended, after several hours of excruciating conversation.
He took me back to my office and I dropped by the store on the way home to buy wine and ice cream. The clerk asked if I’d had a bad day. I said I’d had a bad date. She noted that it was only 7:30, early to have had a bad date. I smiled and said yes, that was the only good part!
Thankfully I met my husband soon after, no more bad dates for me!
Worst date ever – not so much bad, as totally embarrassing thinking back on it. Junior year of HS, had a crush on senior. he took me out to dinner, and i think we just didn’t hit off. i talked too much b/c i was nervous. so embarrassing now thinking about it. it’s one of those things that you try to block out of your head!
My worst date ever was in high school a boy took me to Red Lobster even though I hate seafood. So I ordered chicken he got lobster. Well during dinner he begged me to try the lobster I kept saying no and he begged since he was cute I said okay even though I was terrified of eating it. Well, I tried to eat it and all of a sudden I started gagging and got so sick almost didn’t make it to the bathroom to throw up. Needless to say there was no goodnite kiss that night & will stick to my guns when I say I don’t like something. I will never forget that miserable dinner.
THanks for the giveaway and for letting me share my horrible date with all, hope you can get a laugh from it like I am now:):)
Worst date ever – it was my first car date. He opened my door for me. Then when he got in on his side he patted the seat next to him. I was thrilled that he wanted me to scoot over closer to him. And I did. Then he said, “I was looking for my gloves.”
Senior Prom- my date was late picking me up, and then couldn’t find the restaurant where we had reservations. He took me to a different restaurant, where I ended up sick from my food. He then dropped me off after curfew, so I ended up grounded as well.
My worst date would have to be a blind date a friend arranged for me. I was absolutley not digging the guy, but was trying to be as courteous as possible. At the end, when he was dropping me off at the doorstep, he leaned in to kiss me and I turned my head…he ended up kissing my ear. It was terrible!
Worst date….I have been with my husband for almost 10 years (since I was 18) so its from high school. I had a huge crush on this guy I worked with, I was a server he was a dishwasher (we were both 16) and I had homecoming coming up so I asked him. He picked me up met my parents, we go to my school where he spent the entire night hitting on my friend. After the dance, as he drive me home he asked if I would give him my friend’s #. Talk about a blow to a teenager. I didn’t give it to him, told him that if he liked her that much to track her down for himself. LOL
Worst date ever…..good one!
The worst date I had…. we went out for dinner, chatting nice person, everything was great until the food came he ate really fast, and then he said O my is it 8pm I got to go. And left, I have to pay for his dinner too. Didn’t hear from him ever again. Jerk!
It was new years eve and snowing he hit a guard wall and blew his tire. So he gets out takes the keys to the car so no heat leaves me sitting there with no heat while he takes over a hour to change his tire. I was so mad I never talked to him again after that. Thanks for the giveaway:)

Well my worst date started out great until the end of the night when my date told me he used to have a crush on my Mother. That was just a little too weird for me. Nope no second date.
My worst date ever wasn’t necessarily because of the date I was with, but my danged dog at the time. I was a senior in high school and a guy at the nearby college had asked me out. We went to the drive-in, had a bite to eat and came back to my Mom’s house to watch Saturday Night Live (think back to Steve Martin days). Wewere sitting there enjoying the show, eating brownies and out came my dog (from the bathroom)with a blood saturated sanitary napkin in it’s mouth. Before we realized what he had in his mouth, my date had leaned over saying “whatcha got there, boy”. I can still see the horror on his face when he realized a bloody pad was inches from his hand. The dog then proceeded to shred and tear the thing up while I was trying to get it away from him. My date left, I bawled like a baby and I never heard from him again. I wonder if he ever tells that story…hope not.
My date to the senior prom was pretty bad. The night started out fine but ended up with my date taking illegal “rave” drugs at an after party. Pretty classy right. That wasn’t one of my favorite nights. Thanks for the chance!
My worst date ever was a first (and last) date. He told me he loved me…on the FIRST DATE! Yikes!
My ‘friend’ set me up on a blind date. He promised something unique and exciting. I bought a new outfit and looked forward to the date anticipating a great surprise. AND…….he took me fishing. My attire did not fit the occasion, obviously. Needless to say, there wasn’t a second date.
My worst date ever was when I was set up by a friend with her brother. We doubled with she and her husband and went to an Indian restaurant. The food was good, but that was about it. I was telling him that I wanted to go into the Peace Corps and he basically told me if I did that I would be going to hell because I would have no spiritual experiences the whole time I was there because I wouldn’t be able to go to Church. Yeah. Oh, it gets better. We then went to go bowling at the campus bowling alley, but it was full, so he decided to play video games. At one point, instead of asking me if I wanted to play video games with him, he handed me his jacket and told me to hold it for him. Yeah. Not such a good date. I was 23 and he was 32…I think he is still single and that has been 9 years now. He was WACKO!
My worst date was in college. The guy was a friend of another friend..and she thought he and I would hit it off. He walked over to my dorm. Then, we walked over to Taco Bell. This would have been fine if it weren’t for the fact that it was mid-February and the Taco Bell was about 6 block away. I still don’t get that because he had a car! Anyway, we get to Taco bell and he orders his food, pays for it, and goes to get his drink. I stand there confused at first. Guess we are paying our own way. Okay. I get my food and sit down. He is halfway done with his food..finishes it..then starts to pick tomatoes off my nachos. i just give him the rest of my nachos because that just grossed me out. We walk back to the dorms and he continually farts..thinking he is hilarious. When we got to the door, he actually asked me if he could come up and watch a movie or “stuff”..not sure what the stuff was…but I faked a stomach ache and told him goodnight…needless to say, I called my friend and asked what the heck she was thinkin! Never saw that farting cheapo again!!!
My husband is the only man I ever dated, and we are sitting here trying to think of a “worst date” story to tell you about in a hope of winning the fabulous prize, but we truly don’t have a “worst” one!
So in an attempt to still have a shot at the prize can I tell you about our first date?!
We went to the zoo and it POURED rain. We didn’t really care (duh! It was our first date!) and after our fun time together we stopped at a nearby Asian market and bought ourselves dry socks…. everything else was soaking wet and yet we bought ourselves socks. Six years later I still have those socks
I don’t have any really bad dating stories that I can think of. I remember one Saturday date that we planned all around going to a state park/ nature preserve but when we got there the park was closed so we ended up ‘picnicing’ in the car in the parking lot LoL!
Thanks for the chance to win!

My worst date ever involved a pig farm….Need I say more?LOL!

oh lord I have some worst dates. I went out with this cuter older guy that had been coming into the bakery I worked out for a while. (like 7 years older) and he was SOOOO BORING! the whole time we were at dinner he only talked about his corvette. it was so weird. then he pratically made me take a ride with him in it. um yeah vettes are cool but not THAT cool. I tried so hard to just leave…. what a goober. then he brought his new gf into the place I was waiting tables. all the time, and would ask for my section… creepy!
some men are plain nutty!
Hmmm, worst date ever….I went through an online dating phase, and this one guy sent me a dozen roses BEFORE our first date, and told me he loved me on the first date…..Ummmm, stalker much?!? I had my mom bail me out when he called after that until he just caught the hint.
Thanks for the chance to win! Come check out my giveaway, too!
This is extremely generous. Thank you for the chance to win. My worst date was with the cousin of the person I thought I was going out with. When he called to ask me out, I thought it was the cousin. Well, I was surprised when I opened the door and there stood someone I didn’t expect. We went to his church and the service lasted over 3 hours. If you’ve ever been to a true Southern Baptist church, you know how carried away they can get. It was one long night.

I was set up on a double date with some friends in high school. Not only was they guy they picked a foot taller than me, but he wasn’t the kind of guy I wanted to date. After watching a movie and being bored, I ate some chips and left.
My worst date ever was with a guy I met on the internet in high school. First of all, not a good idea, secondly it was terrible! We went to Olive Garden for dinner and he barely said 2 words. He then proceed to tell me later that her thought we has a lot in common and would I go to his senior prom with him! The worst part is I felt so bad I went to his prom and he didn’t talk there either!!
My ex used to run a haunted house, one night he thought it would be cool to take me there during the off season. We ended up getting stuck on the 5th floor because the elevator shaft stopped working. It was creepy. He thought it was fun. It was our second date, and I guess he thought since we were stuck he would make the best of it and tried to make a move… no way! We were stuck for almost 2 hours before someone finally came to get it. I’ve never been back to a haunted house since!!
my worst date ever is when a guy asked me out and we went to dinner, anyway he forgot to get the receipt and was like ‘damn i cant put this on my expense account’ — he was in town on business..i thought, what a cheap bastard. lol
My worst date ever is pretty disgusting. My boyfriend had a horrible cold, and was hocking lugies (sp? I can’t believe I actually typed that word) into a cup in the car because he was so congested… through a series of weird circumstances, the cup got spilled. On my lap. It was pretty bad.
-bellytobellybutton@gmail.com
funny enough the worst date ever was one of my first’s, I when out wiht a guy who I worked with he was older then I which isnt an issue hahaha my hubby is 10 years older. Anyway we went to dinner which was great but then he decided to take me to a friends birthday party! People I had never met and parents commenting on what a cute girl friend he had, it was very weird for me. Needless to say we never went out again, way to scare off a girl.
My worst date ever would have to be hands down the first date I went on with my husband..lol..we went to a town that was about 45 minutes away because it’s a bigger town with alot more shopping and restaurants..He wanted to take me out for Chinese…YUM!! So we went to this Chinese Restaurant named “Hunans”…First of all I love Chinese food and have never ate any Chinese dish that I didn’t like…but Hunans was something different…the food was so gross and not the way it should taste…it was luke warm at the best and I didn’t want him to feel bad about taking me to a horrible place so I choked down most of it…After we ate we proceeded to leave to go back to our town…and I had to make him stopped at a McDonalds so I could go #2. I was so embarrassed because this was our first date and I must have been in there about 30 minutes…I feel asleep on the way back because I was so sick… I thought he would never ask me out again…but here we are 6 years later and married and have a wonderful 3 year old son…
)
My worst date ever? I went out to dinner on a blind date. Midway through the meal, Mr. Wrong tells me, “You know, everybody said you were really good-looking. But I think you look plain.”
Why is that the worst date? I went out with him again, after that. What WAS I thinking?
my worst date was when i was out with this guy and he revealed he was 10 years older than i had been told. not bad after hearing all these tales!
my worse date was when i came home and found that my apartment had been broken into!! instead of comforting me the guy offered me cocaine!! how’s that for being helpful?
I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad date! DH and I have always pretty much had fun (or come with a way to make it fun) every where we’ve been.
My worst date was when my ex without notice took my out to eat and then broke up with me. I was devastated and I had just bought him a new TV which he kept.

My worst date?! Didnt happen…this guys Mom tried to set us up on a blind Date and I finally agreed when she bugged me for weeks on end. He told his Mom (I worked with her…and she told another lady this…) that he was dreaming about me…that I was “the one” I texted him and said no way! I was only gonna go out with him to be nice to his Mom anyways…I soon married my hubby!
Worst date ever? I was dating this man who was a police officer. For my birthday, he took me to a nicer restaurant but he had to go to work the night shift afterwards. I watched him down 3 vodka drinks while we were sitting there. This guy had to go to work in a few hours. I was shocked and broke up with him that weekend.
Um…I’ve only dated my hubby. And they’ve all be perfect
My worst date ever was junior prom. I didn’t like the guy, but my friend’s guilted me into saying yes. We went to a tacky Mexican restaurant, then to several supermarkets so all the guys (there were like 6 couples that all went together) could see their friends that were working that night. The dance itself was lame and the guys were being nerds. Another girl and I (we were riding in the same car) asked if we could drive…we drove ourselves home while they sat there wondering what was going on. Man…that was more than a dozen years ago and it’s still the worst date ever.
i did not date much before being married. but worst date was getting asked to leave by his parents and drive home in the snow alone.
Worst date ever- I only dated my husband, so the one I can think of with him, is after we were married and had our first child. He was a colicky infant, and we went out for dinner. He had a crying fit while we were there, and we took turns standing in the lobby holding him while the other one ate. One of those nights where you wished you would have just stayed home!!
Worst date ever??? A first date with a guy that I didn’t really like. I broke my toe that morning and we were going to a concert. The parking was of course not close and I could hardly walk. Painful to say the least.
I actually never dated anybody other than my husband and we never had a bad one.
Thanks for offering it!

My worst date ever was when my boyfriend at the time and I decided to go up to the Southcenter Mall. It’s about an hour from where we were. His mom loaned us her truck, and we headed out. The truck broke down on the freeway offramp for our exit to the mall. We ended up calling his mom from a pay phone and waiting two hours for his mom and her boyfriend to drive up and rescue us. We never did get to go to the mall…lol
Thanks for the chance to win such a great giveaway!
Blind date. He tried to picked me up 2 hours late, that’s right 2! He was busy playing games and forgot all about me.Need I to say more…lol
I had been talking to this guy online for a bit, and he really wanted to meet. We decided to meet for lunch, but I had told him that I was on a super strict medical diet at the time and had brought my lunch in for the day. We decided to meet at Whole Foods because I figured there was plenty of food that he could order to eat, and I also knew that there was a microwave there that I could warmup my lunch. We met outside and talked for a few minutes. We both went inside – me to warm up my food, him to buy food (or so I thought). While I was standing at the microwave, I turned around to see him leaving the store. I stood there and watched him drive away. Never heard from him again. I’ve never had someone just leave like that.
Oh man. I’ve had a lot of bad dates! Probably the WORST was when the guy and I went to a party together and he tried to take me into an empty bedroom (this was our first date!). When refused to do anything naughty, he got mad and started drinking. About ten minutes later, he disappeared, and I found him in the building’s hallway making out with some random girl. Luckily, we drove separately, so I took myself home. He spent the rest of the weekend calling my friends to “find out why I was mad,” but ended every conversation by hitting on them! What a horn dog. Yuck.
I went out with a guy at college to a movie and then to a diner for an after dinner snack. He was really tired and pretty boring all night, and how embarassing……..he was eating his salad, and he fell asleep while eating it! He actually went face forward into the salad. He immediately woke up, and he had pieces of lettuce and a crouton stuck to his face. I was MORTIFIED.
Worst Date Ever:

My sister set me up with a guy who had a crush on me from her work. I was 18 and he was 25. He picked me up and in the car I asked where we were going and he said he had the perfect date planned for me and it was going to be a surprise.
We went to Red Lobster.
A Movie
And then home.
Why?
I hate seafood it makes me sick! He never even asked when I didn’t order anything.
I had already seen the movie and hated it. He also never asked.
By the time I got home all I wanted to do was grab a sandwich and crawl in bed.
He called me everyday for a month. Ugh!
But, as crazy as this sounds my best date ever.
A trip to Meijer (Sort of like Walmart) to buy Cd’s, and schmooze over books and then sitting in a 7-11 parking lots eating a big bite and a fountain pop and talking for hours.
I married that man. In that parking lot we shared more about what we wanted in life then I did with anyone.
Ironic, eh.
Thanks for the opportunity

My worst date ever was a blind date with a very shy person who hardly sad two words and he had a social phobia and acted strange at dinner.
Thank you!

My worst date was on our way to dinner, he tried to get give me a kiss. He may have been sexy, but not enough to give a kiss to someone I had barely known for a month!
orchestratenoise0726[at]yahoo[dot]com
It was a blind date …He came to my house to get me I had a few friends there in case ..He worked at a pizza place and offered to get us pizza before we all went out ..He had a drink before he came to my house and he got pulled over of drinking and driving in front of my house and he went to jail …We went out and took all the pizzas and eat them …We did check on him in jail ..but I never heard from him again a date that only lasted 30 mins …
Worst date ever…the guy tried to kiss me at the end and said “Here.” when he was going in for the kiss like he was doing me a favor or something. Not so much.
The worst date ever, I went out with a guy and his breath was terrible, we went out to dinner and then he took me back to his mom’s!
My worst date ever was a “blind date” . He was a complete geek and someone I had nothing in common with. It was painful to get through dinner. He was sweet but not for me.

I haven’t had a whole lot of dates, but let’se see…maybe the time my date picked me up, opened his car trunk to get something out, and it closed on his head and made a huge gash?
Come enter my Target GC giveaway!
I had been talking to this guy for awhile and we finally went out. We met up for a quick bite to eat before I headed to a class at the gym….had a nice time. We went to the beach by my gym and waited for my class to start…and that’s when he thought he needed to tell me he was missing a toe. Right there on the beach, on our first date, he pulled off his shoe and sock and showed me his foot. He didn’t want it to be “a deal breaker” if we continued to see each other. Can I just say….TACKY??!!??!! We never went out again.
give_me_a_latte at yahoo
worst date ever…. in high school a guy took me to dinner then we came back to my house and he wanted to watch “Little Mermaid” ??? should have been my 1st clue… then he kissed me during the “Kiss the Girl” part of the movie… seriously??? it was so lame and the kiss was sooo bad!
Oh jeez I’ve had SO many. I had one date in Washington DC. We had already decided before the date we wouldn’t be having dinner because he couldn’t afford to pay for both of us. So we would just see this band play. (already a bad sign) So I ate dinner before hand. But then when I got there he said he was hungry. So I had to WATCH him eat dinner. Then we watched this band play and he was trying to make out with me the whole time. Did I mention he looked like Napoleon Dynamite? Ack
My worst date ever was in 9th grade. I got stood up to go see Armageddon.
Mine would have to be my 30th birthday date with my hubby. I was so excited to ‘go out’ with him for this special date, without the kids! But that morning I woke up not feeling well. I went about my day trying to well my self not sick. By the time we dropped the kids off at my moms I felt really bad. I ran into the drug store to get some meds. I took them and made it though dinner and the movie. That night I woke up crying my throat hurt so bad. I ended up having Strep and I was so sick for a week after, I mean the sickest I EVER have been before or since.
Wow! how generous!
My worst date was actually a great date. And then he never talked to me again and we lived on the same block. I wasn’t that into the guy either, but to totally shun me? All we did was have coffee and talk about common interests. Who knew that was so offensive? Whenever I would see him around he would immediately look away.
My bf at the time told me we were going to a nice dinner…I was all dressed up and waiting when I got a text from him saying he’d decided to hang out at his friends house and play drinking games instead. What?! Also, we never talked face to face again…we just broke up slowly by text!
Great giveaway! Count me in.

I can honestly say that I have not had any bad dates – as someone committed to courtship, I only “went out” twice in high school and once in college before I started courting. I suppose my most disappointing one was taking a walk with my crush only to discover that his political leanings were on the opposite end of the spectrum from mine, which indicated we were not meant to be a couple. But I was glad to know and still thought well of him.
My worst date was bowling in college. The guy thought he was so good and when I beat him, he was angry and didn’t even walk me to the door!
Worst date ever? hhmmm… I went on a “double date” for my first date, in high school, and you have to understand the type of town I went to high school in…. there were alot of spoiled kids, and I however, was not as priviledged.
Well anywho, we all went out, and had dinner, which I felt very uncomfortable at, it was a very upscale restarurant, which I am sure I had never been to before. On the way home, my “date” was all over me. I kept pushing him off… gross.
On the way home, we got a flat tire, of course! The two guys went outside to look at it, and actually got back in the car to call a towing service! hehe… there was no way I was gonna sit in that car any longer! I went out there to change that tire, and everyone came with me! When I first got the tire off, it starts raining, so of course, everyone else goes back into the car! I was out there in a dress, on my first real date, changing a tire in the rain. Fantastic. I made it a new rule that night, to not date any man who could not change a tire!- thanks for the giveaway!
Oh, how to pick just one… How about one of the THREE times I went on a date without knowing I was on a date? (Apparently I am very naive) It was a trip to Six Flags with some work people. Turned out to be a date, just me and my manager, riding in his bitchin’ Camaro with the garter belt hanging from the mirror. Good times, good times. That didn’t make work the next day awkward AT ALL!
Haha – worst date ever: it was a group set-up, and my date talked to someone else the entire time, and I talked to someone else the entire time! We never spoke again!
I can remember a date I went on where I was set up with this guy by mutual friends. I had met him before the date, so I thought it would be fun to go on a date with him – he seemed nice. We went to dinner where all he could talk about was football. He asked which was my favorite team. I guess he didn’t like my choice because the conversation slowed to a crawl and I never heard from him again. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.
My worst date ever the guy took me to a bowling alley, not to bowl, but to play video games. A bunch of his friends were there, so it didn’t even feel like a real date.
I haven’t had a worst date ever. The only person I ever dated was hubby. The lamest date was our first date…a trip to WM. LOL
Worst date ever – I went out with this guy who was a friend of a friend. He really wanted to date one of my other friends, but she turned him down. I had nothing better to do, so I agreed to go out on a “friend” date. It was awkward, dull, and even more awkward.
My worst date ever was when we got lost and the car broke down…we had to sit there forever until someone came by to take us to the nearest service station
Worst date ever? Going out with dh and ending up in a fight and crying the whole way home, sobbing cries, no fun!
Hmm well I basically refuse to call it a date, but one Valentine’s day some friends of mine decided we should do a group date to the Science Museum, and as the guy I really liked was out of town I asked a guy that I knew had a crush on me. Well he brought his younger brother (just a year younger) along on the “group date”
I would love the target giftcard. Just in time for Valentine’s Day.

I guess this counts as a date. A boyfriend I had in college invited me to go on vacation with him and his family. Then one day into the vacation he broke up with me! I will never understand why he didn’t break up with me before we left. We were several hours from home, and I had no way to get home. So I had to stay and stick it out for a week with him and his family. Fortunately I got along with his parents and his brothers and sister really well, so it wasn’t too bad. They all felt sorry for me, and thought that their son was jerk to do that to me.
Does it count if you were already married? I didn’t date till we were engaged– not anyone, ever.
Our anniversary one year we left the little monkey with family and went back to the place we spent our honeymoon. It was great. Except that I had a really bad cold that got progressively worse through the day and night. Dh caught my cold. The battery in the smoke alarm in our room ran down and spent all night beeping and precise intervals. It was a night from hell, that’s for sure.
worst date was the one where I was in a car wreck during the date
I was picking up my roommate at a bar before I was 21, and this guy was totally hitting on me and gave me his number, told me to call him the next day. I called him and he couldn’t remember me AT ALL! He still wanted to go out with me, why I went, I’ll never know. We went to Red Robin and had nothing to talk about for almost two hours. We went home and never saw each other again. Couldn’t even tell you his name now..
I remember that my friend set me up on a date with the brother of her boyfriend. She didn’t mention he was at least 5 years younger than me. The whole night he spent talking about skateboarding and sex and was a messy eater. UGH It was the pits.
Mine was kind of a blind date but I had seen a picture of him and had talked to him on the phone quite a bit before we met. He seemed like a nice guy and was really cute in his picture so we decided to go out on a double date with my cousin and one of his friends. They lived about an hour away so my cousin and I decided that we would meet at their house. When he opened the door he looked NOTHING like his picture. I still question whether that was him or not in the photo he sent me. We were going to play pool and I still figured that we could have fun. While at the pool hall he started to get upset because I wasn’t falling all over him and then when we were leaving the guys both complained at the prices for ONE game of pool. We went back to their house after stopping at the liquor store and I desperately wanted to go home but my cousin liked her guy so I was trying to be polite and just hang out. My guy thought he was pretty hot and tried to boss me and my cousin around all night and continued to make sexist comments. Finally he came out with some old-man velour robe on over his speedo because for some strange reason he thought that we were all going to get in the hot tub. That was the end of it, my cousin finally decided that we had lived through enough torture and we left. I thought that he had gotten the hint, but he continued to call and couldn’t understand why I didn’t want to go out with him again even though I was very blunt in my explanation. Luckily I never saw him again.
I have to give the guy credit for trying to do something so fun and creative, but it just didn’t turn out how he would have expected. He picked me up about 7:00 in the morning. We were going along with two other couples hiking to some favorite spot of one of the guys to have breakfast. It had been raining the night before, the roads were still wet, and he hydroplaned going around a corner on the way there. Hiking up the hill my foot slipped and I scraped up both hands trying to catch myself before falling anyway and getting mud stains on the knees of my jeans. It was cooler than any of us expected, so us girls sat around shivering while the guys tried to cook pancakes. When syrup is cold, it thickens up, and we could barely get it out of the bottle. I was wishing I had just invited them all over to my house for some of mom’s homemade pancakes. We had fun, laughed a lot, and it all turned out OK in the end.
My date got overly drunk, and peed her pants in the passenger seat of my new car. Worst date ever
What do you do if you’ve never been on a date? Seriously.
Worst date ever– first date guy took me to one of those romantic fondue places which was over the top. when the dessert came– really hot chocolate fondue– he stuck a strawberry in it and decided to feed it to me but i wasnt paying attention to what he was doing. i jerked quickly and he stuck burning a burning hot chocolate strawberry in my eye. a trip to the ER ensued. i told him to just drop me off… and I never called him back.
Worst date ever was with a guy in college who kept talking about how horrible a college we went to and how he has wanted to go to an Ivy but things didn’t work out so he was just at Northeastern for a semester until he could transfer out. I really loved my college so I never went out with him again. A few semesters later he was not only still at NU but the student body president, and just enough of a greaseball for office. ugh.
I didn’t date that much considering I got married when I was 18. The worst was when I was 17 and the guy took me riding around in his car and then to a friend’s house where he paid no attention to me at all.
I’d love the Target gift card to give to my sister who is going through a tough time right now. Every little bit helps her.
worst date ever…he didnt show up!!
ugh!
but maybe i was better off!
Didn’t really like him, just wanted to go to Homecoming dance. He was a complete jerk the whole night and I didn’t know anyone else from his school. Lesson learned!
I’ve been on quite a few bad dates but the worst has to be…A few years ago, I went on a blind date. He arrived at my door and everything was fine. After awhile, I noticed that he really smelled bad. He smelled of cat pee and body odor. I didn’t know what to do!! I felt bad because he was really a great looking guy and decent personality but half-way through dinner, I excused myself to the bathroom and called a friend to come pick me up. Who goes on a date smelling of cat pee and body odor!?! Seriously? lol Thanks for the giveaway!!

Ugh lol…worst date ever? Probably my senior year homecoming. A good friend who had graduated the year before me wanted to take me, I thought as a friend. But the whole time it was awkward. Like he kept making passes at me, I was dating someone at the time {and my friend knew that!} who wasn’t able to take me to the dance…so I really wasn’t interested. The whole night was weird so I asked if we could leave early and just had him take me home. Sad I lost a good friend over it because we never hung out again… Ah, high school drama!
My worst date ever was in high school with Ralph. (Yes, I wanted to ralph myself after that date). We went to an amusement park for the day with his family. And when he got me alone and tried to kiss me he got waaaaay too personal.
I was on a double date with one of my “friends” and she decided that she didn’t like the way her date looked. We stopped at a gas station to get something to drink and she ditched us,leaving me to explain it to her date.
My worst date ever was a first date where the guy got so drunk I didn’t want him to take me home. He got mad and made a scene at the restaurant.
My worst date ever was when I started dating my Husband we went out to the movies and my Ex was there. Of course he decided to sit next to us and we ended up arguing the whole time. I’m surprised my Husband even wanted to see me again.
Worst date ever…hmmm..never really had a bad one, but one I remember is one of the first with now Dh. He ATE off my dessert plate without asking. How rude LOL
a guy took me to a “party”…where we had to climb in a window! then…there was a framed article of the guy talking about his arrest…OMG I couldn’t leave fast enough!
margelina@comcast.net
years ago nefore the internet I placed a free ad in a newspaper personals column. The first guy I met was okay, but my car wound up overheating and he left while I was trying to figure out how to get home. UGH!

Is the fact that I’ve never been on a date count as my worst date ever? I’m seriously not joking either or simply being untruthful…I’d love to still enter, but I’ve never been on one.

My worst date EVER was back in college. A big football star who all the girls were just dying to go out with. He picked me up and proceeded to take me down a gravel road into nowhere. I walked back to the dorms. You better believe by the end of night , no one wanted to go out with him ! THanks for the giveaway!
My worst date ever….one time my date (who I didn’t necessarily like) thought it would be fun to go bowling with our wrists tied together. Not fun. Not fun at all!
Oh wow…great prizes. My worst date ever was when I went to the fair with my boyfriend, and all these girls kept coming up to me telling me that he was trying to get with them. It really was a horrible night, but I know they were lying just because they were jealous. Why can’t anyone ever just be happy for another couple instead of trying to break them up? But, anyways, thanks so much for the chance to win!
hmm, worst date ever… I honestly havn’t had too many dates, I don’t know as though any of them have been bad. oh wait.. I guess you could call this a date:
In high school I wasn’t allowed to go to dances, but one time my friends persuaded my mom to let me go to a semi formal. My one friend even had one of his friends to go with me… I think we danced once together, then he found some other people he knew and left me. It was a boring night watching my friends dance!
Worse date ever – I ended up having to drive because his truck was broke down. Got to the restaurant and ended up having to pay since he forgot his wallet. Not fun.
Worst date ever imagined….my mother coming to the movies with me and my boyfriend, sitting right behind us the entire time, and making me leave the movie because there was too much cursing. i wanted to die.
My worst date was actually with my husband–it was bad because of the circumstances, not the company! I was pregnant with our first child, and we were going to a minor league baseball game. It took us longer than we expected to get there, and then we got stuck in the LONGEST LINE of cars to find a place to park. We passed two filled parking garages! Our low fuel light came on while sitting in traffic, so we had to get out of line and try to find a gas station. We found one fairly close, but it was a very scary place. By the time we finished getting gas the game had been underway for thirty minutes, and we were still going to have to get back into traffic and find a place to park. We would not have been able to stay even an hour because company was arriving! So to our immense frustration, we left and went home! We did stop for ice cream on the way home, so the date was not a total wash.
that would be the one where the guy was picking his feet in the restaurant, thank goodness i had my own car, because iwent to the rest room and out the door thanks for the giveaway
Okay, I haven’t dated much at all and have only had a few bf’s. I was once however on a blind date and the guy was just not a gentleman. We never spoke on the date–it was a double date with my friend and her bf. She actually was the one to set me up with this guy!! LOL I was just glad that he paid for the movie and that was it!! haha I couldn’t wait to get home and I never saw him again!! Weirdest ‘date’ ever’!!! Days later he told my friend Jen that he expected me to look like a Supermodel!! As if!! LOL He was not ‘da bomb’ himself if you know what I mean!! LOL
My worst date ever was when the guy wouldn’t stop talking about himself and baseball. I couldn’t get a word in edgewise, and I really wasn’t interested.

My worst date was a blind date I went on when i was 17. The guy decided to try and show off how much money he had. (which made me very uncomfortable) and he just watned to buy me a bunch of stuff. Hm…then he took me out for dinner and back to his car. he was supposed to take me home, but decided a party was great. Oh boy…not my scene at all. We just weren’t a match.
I went on a date with a guy that I didn’t know very well. After watching a show, he took me out to get ice cream. At the store, he started telling me all about his fencing lessons. Then he began to get up and show me his moves. Everyone in the store was watching him, and he really wasn’t very good. I was pretty embarrassed because he kept up the act for awhile….
Mine was when I had gone out drinking with some friends the night before. Had a few to many drinks and gave my number to this guy I met. He called and we went out the next night. I almost died when I opened the door. He was the strangest guy I’ve ever met. We were going to a movie and I asked him what time it started. He said “Well it gets dark around 7:00 pm now”. I knew he thought we were going to a drive in (yes this was a long time ago). I told him he was crazy and found a movie much earlier. It was a scary movie and he screamed like a baby all through out the movie. I couldn’t wait to get home. I learned a lesson to never drink that much again.

My worst date ever was actually on Valentine’s day. My on-and-off-boyfriend and I went out to lunch, then he took me to a jewelry store to buy me a chain for a pendant he had given me a couple years before. At the end of the afternoon, he pretty much told me that it was our last date ever and he was in love with someone else.
And people wonder why Valentine’s Day makes me angry! :p
I was on a date with this guy and I ran in to an ex bf. It was at an arcade and we were playing games near eachother. We were still friends. The guy I was on a date with got pissed just because I was talking to my ex. Needless to say, we didn’t date again. I just don’t understand how you can get jealous when we were just dating. I wasn’t, in no way, wanting my ex back.
Thanks for the giveaway!

The worst date was when the guy I was with kept talking about another girl he seen to his friend. He kept talking about how great her legs looked in the skirt she was wearing.
The guy was supposed to make me dinner. When I got there, he said we had to go to the store to get the stuff for dinner. Ok fine, but then we are leaving and he says that while we are out he has to stop and do some laundry. And he was serious. That relationship didnt last long.
The worst and best date was with my husband. It was our first date, he took me to see Ghost Ship. It was awful, the theatre smelled like urine and on the way home he ran a red light and got pulled over. But I still married him.
My worst date… Ugg… We went out to eat and as we were being seated my date made a fuss about the table and asked if we could move (there was nothing wrong with table). Then he made a big fuss when his plate of food came and it didn’t match the picture on the menu!! Uuugggg.
I have trouble remembering bad things.
so…if there was something bad, I wouldn’t know it by now, lol
I’m happily married for a long time,…by the way what’s dating?
I don’t know if this answer qualifies me for the drawing,
but thanks anyway!
I had a guy on our first date (movies at his house) become to frisky. When I told him I wanted to leave he kept telling me no. Finally I yelled, which brought his roommate running so he finally took me to my car (he had picked me up form work). I even drove around for awhile to make sure he wouldn’t follow me and find out where I lived. After 2 weeks of me ignoring his phone calls, I was rid of him.
My worst date ever – I had just met this new guy, and we went to his house for dinner. I didn’t know that his parents were going to be there, but didn’t freak out too much. Worst part? When I asked for seconds, he told me I couldn’t have any, since I really didn’t “need” them. Big old stupid head lol.
my worst date ever i was set up with a friends friend and he took me to the beach at night and had bought tons of beer. which i am not a drinker and i felt like he expected to get me drunk and something would happen yeah right. what a loser lol! What a great prize! Thanks for sharing.

I went out with a guy who insulted me and my friend all evening. He had a serious case of little big man syndrome. I could not wait for that date to be over and I didn’t talk to him again after that. Jerk.
When I was in college, I really liked this guy in the Theatre production the college was doing. I mentioned it to my (future) sister in law and she was like “You should put a personal in the classifieds and ask them out…” because I was not a very outgoing person. For some crazy reason, I agreed.
Well, once the guy got to the meeting place (a public restaurant) and saw it was me, I think things went horribly wrong. He didn’t feel the same way and was rather embarrassed that everyone knew he had a secret admirer. That whole time we sat and talked, it was amazing awkward. We were still friends after that (and I have long since lost contact with him), but that will always stand out as the most uncomfortable date I ever had….
Thanks for the giveaway….
Hmmm…worst date EVER? An old boyfriend I had in high school. He didn’t have a car or anything so we just hung out at his place. His dad got realllly drunk and belligerent. His mom asked me to stay for dinner but boyfriend wanted me to leave because he didn’t want me to see him eat. Nuts!
Thanks for the chance to win.
My worst date was a blind date, and it was just all around awful. I’ll spare the details, but at one point I honestly contemplated going to the bathroom adn cawling out the window – I wanted out that bad!!
Wow…my worst date ever….I was set up on a blind date by a coworker! Lets just say after having dinner at a sushi place…I hate sushi…getting sick and listening to a nerdy guy talk about himself for over an hour, I was soo ready to leave! How ready to leave you say? I tried to peel out of the parking lot so fast that I hit a concrete block on the bottom of a light post in the parking lot. It totally smashed the entire passenger side of my car in! I couldn’t even open the front or back door! I was so mortified and sick and tired, I did not even try stop and assess the damage. I just kept right on peeling out! How’s that for a bad date? I sure hope I win! llanghans@yahoo.com
It was when my husband and I were dating. We had a few on and off again times. We went to a Halloween dance and some guy got my phone number and called me a few times afterward. He was really nice and asked me out on a date. My husband was hanging out with my roommates when he picked me up..awkward! He didn’t know we had been together and he even invited them to go along with us to a comedy club. They declined. Anyway, we met his best friend and his wife there….and I had nothing at all to say to my date! It turned out that I got along great with his married friend and we talked when we went out for ice cream! I tried to be nice, but I just couldn’t find anything to say. Anyway, I was back with my now husband a day or two later and I actually saw this guy the next week. I never heard from him again!
I’d have to say the night that my husband and I finally got a babysitter about 9 months after our daughter was born. We thought we’d pull off into the woods to relive some of our younger days. We got stuck. No funny when you have to explain to your babysitter and everyone else, why you were parked!!!
My worst date ever was back in my teens. I spent an entire night talking to this cute guy on the phone and we got along sooooooo well! He asked me to go out with him to his bowling league that next night. I definitely agreed!! He showed up right on time and I opened the door. The look on his face was horrible! The entire time we were talking, he thought I was someone else. He was very disappointed to not be going out with HER. *sigh* Now I need some chocolate…..what a depressing memory!! :-p
I lived many hours away from my boyfriend. My mom took me to the city he lived in to visit for the weekend. I had worked out with his best friend for it to be a surprise.
He was surprised, alright. And grounded. And his parents didn’t let him off the hook just because my mom and I came SIX HOURS to see him.
My worst date ever was a blind date – he didn’t ask me where or what I wanted to do – tried to order my food for me and talked non-stop. Needless to say – I got a headache!
THanks
My worst date ever was all my fault. I couldn’t stand the guy and he just kept on and on. FInally I said, okay fine. I’ll pick you up (he was such a lose he had no car) . I even drove by to see if he was waiting and sure enough he was.
With my convertible top down, I flew by him waving wildly. I looked in the mirror to see him walking away, dejected.’
I said it was the worst.
Years later, I could wring my little neck for being such a jerk.
Amazing giveaway! The worst date I’ve ever been on happened about ten years ago. I had met a guy online (first mistake!), and when we met for our date I immediately discovered that the photo he had on his profile was from at least five years (and 20 pounds) ago. We proceeded to have an awkward, forced conversation at dinner (where our waiter was hopelessly slow) and for some reason decided to go see a movie across the street afterward (which didn’t redeem the night, because we saw the Sean Penn dud, “I Am Sam!”). I guess as far as bad dates go, that one wasn’t so bad, so I count myself lucky in the grand scheme of things!
My date showed up a couple of hours late to my mother’s home (no less) and was DRUNK!!! I was so humiliated. I of course did not go on the date but I was home from college and was so embarrassed.
Been a long time…But my worst date was when a guy I did not know very well asked me to a movie….The whole time he kept looking behind us….Not paying me any attention. Found out later his ex girlfriend was in the balcony with someone else…Not a fun evening. semtaylor(at)yahoo(dot)com
Worst date ever happened when I was in college. My friend hooked me up with a dorm mate and we all went out to dinner. My date got so drunk that he fell out of his chair while talking to me and then excused himself to go to the bathroom. I was furious at my friend for sucking me into this awful blind date and told him that I would be leaving as soon as my drunk date returned to the table. Trouble was, he never returned!! We ended up looking all over the restaurant for him, scouring the parking lot etc. We finally all went home and found out the next day that he had been picked up the police after he drunkenly stumbled out of the exit and proceeded to urinate in the plants in front of the store next door! Worst date EVER!
My worst date ever was when I was in high school and dating a guy at the neighboring/rival school. We were both in marching band and he got into it with me about how much better his band was than mine and I told him to just drop it. Everyone in the restaraunt started to turn around and listen to him. I’m not easily embarrassed but this situation definitely did me in. He then started getting louder and then got up and slapped me in the face for telling him it wasn’t an issue. I ran out and drove home. Needless to say, he came to my house the next day with roses, a card and said “I’m really really sorry. I don’t know what came over me. I’m sorry.” I definitely slammed the door in his face, remembered something, opened the door back up, took the flowers without saying anything and then slammed the door again and went back to bed. HA!
Thanks for the giveaway!
The worst date I ever had was in my senior year of high school. I had a huge crush on a classmate and was thrilled when he asked me out on a Saturday night. He arrived with a car full of other guys and one other girl and we went to the local hamburger drive-thru. After eating our burgers, we were all trying to decide what to do next when one of the guys suggested that they rob the McDonalds where he worked. I thought it was a joke and started laughing, but soon realized that they were actually considering it. he said he had the key because he was an assistant manager and then suggested that they drop off me and the other girl so as not to create additional hassles. Unbelievable! They actually dropped us both off at home and then sped off. I never found out if they did rob the McDonalds because I never spoke to that guy again.
I was out with this guy I dated in high school and we were sitting in the movie theater. Some ads were playing before the movie and one came on for Friendly’s (I think it was Friendly’s….not sure, it’s been many years) that showed all these yummy looking sundaes and desserts. This guy looks over at me, glances down at my thighs, and says “Looks like you’ve had a few too many of those!”
I couldn’t believe he said that to me! It was so obnoxious and rude. Also I was only about 130 pounds…..I guess since I wasn’t stick thin, he thought I had eaten too much!
I didn’t say anything and sat through the whole movie with him. If I had any sense, I would have got up and left.
That was the last time I ever went anywhere with him though.
Worse date ever – when the guy accidentally hit me in the mouth with the car door as I was getting out of the car. He had tried to close it before I was clear. I went on the date with a busted lip.
Worst date every…when the guy who asked me out spent the entire night talking about himself and never once asked me about myself.
Worst date ever…when the guy spent the entire night talking about himself and never asked me any questions about me.
I got talked into taking a blind date to my office Christmas party. Not only did the guy not even talk to me, when we got to the party, he started drinking heavily. To make things even better, the “friend” who set us up couldn’t understand why I didn’t have a good time.
One time I went out with a friend of a friend in college and this guy had serious anger issues. We went to dinner and he complained about the specials for that night, the wait for the waitress, and the appetizer. He even got so frustrated, he threw some money on the table and insisted we leave before dinner arrived! Talk about a first impression! Didnt see him again!

I was set up for Homecoming, and my date (who was older than I was) didn’t have a car, so I had to pick him up and drive to meet our friends for dinner. They didn’t give us directions, so we never found them. We finally ate in complete silence at In ‘N’ Out Burger, and then promptly separated right after pictures were taken!
Man, so I guess my worst date was prom in HS, I went with a friend and his buddies, so not my normal group. It was just way awkward, like who pays at dinner, should we dance… just weird, but hey if that’s the worst, I figure I’m doing pretty well!
It was with a man who spent the entire time talking about himself. He never once asked about me.
I had just moved to a new area and was invited out for what I thought was a casual group event. Uh, no…it was a double date. So, not only did I not like the guy, but the other dude was someone who had been chasing my sister 10 years earlier. Awkward! Plus the other 3 people were all close friends and had tons of inside jokes.
I was so miserable and I’m pretty sure my date was miserable too. I felt bad but I really, Really, REALLY wasn’t interested in him!
My worst date was with a guy who spent the whole time talking about how short I am. How insulting!
I can honestly say I have never had a bad date. Oh well! Can I still win? Thanks! I really haven’t!!!!
Oh this is an easy one. The date I went on and the boy told me”are you growing a moustache”? Was very mean of him to do that and I didnt appreciate it so it was the worst in my book.
skyxsky27(at)gmail.com
OH MY! My worst date ever was with some random dork that I didn’t even really know! It was a “group thing” but I still had to hang out with this guy because my friend really liked the guy she was with and you know how that goes….anyway….it was miserable! The sad thing is I don’t even remember his name!

Worst date ever… every one of them that was not with my amazing husband. Lots of bad times with drunk fraternity boys come to mind from my past, before Christ. I’m so grateful for the gift my husband is to me.

In high school a boy took me to 7-Eleven for a date. He played Street Fighter in the video arcade for over an hour before taking me home. At least I got a Slurpee out of the deal!

I had a dinner date with a guy who waited until AFTER we ate to let me know he had no money! So I ended up paying for our meals and on top of everything else he was a bore!
I went out with a guy who couldn’t remember my name. I couldn’t wait to get home. I srun into him sometimes and he still calls me the wrong name. I just wish I could forget his.
Oh no. How sad! When I was a teenager (16) a boy I had a crush on was going to meet me after work. He never showed, I stood there for HOURS until I gave up and walked a mile or so to the nearest phone and called my parents, completely broken.
Worst date ever, a boy in high school took me to a dance, I was just in loooove with him. When he drove me home he told me he liked my best friend instead and that I was too fat to date.
ouch.
My first date in college. The poor guy – I was so nervous I could barely speak. Now you couldn’t get me to shut up. lol Thanks for the chance to win.
On the phone he talked about how he loved to go to nice places, so I get all dressed up for our date. He shows up with no plan whatsoever! We end up at the local mexican place where conversation centers around his dream of living in a plantation with servants! We then leave and – again since he has no plan – go to his apartment which ends up being small and dirty. His roommate is there with several friends playing video games in the den. After 5 minutes I asked to go home. He had the nerve to ask to come in!

My worst date ever. Ah so many to choose from. It would probably be a date I had with my HS boyfriend on his birthday. His birthday was 2 days after Valentine’s Day. So we had already exchanged VDay gifts. He gave me flowers and I gave him an expensive sweater he had been wanting. I gave him his birthday present (can’t remember what it was), we hung out with his family, and then he drove me home. He then proceeded to break up with me sitting in his car in my driveway. He also told me that since they were gifts he wasn’t going to give me back his VDay or birthday presents and that he hadn’t broken up with me sooner because he wanted the gifts first. So that pretty much made me hate Valentine’s Day. To top it off he talked so much while breaking up with me that I was later for curfew!
The worst date I ever had was in college. The guy invited me to go to a church fireside on Sunday. So we drive 30 min in silence(mostly) up there where I find out he’s picking up a friend to come with us. He never told me this before we went. Ok. So I’m trying to be nice and not pissed, but at least the new guys TALKS to me! So we go and the fireside is good but again practically no interaction with my “date”. By this time I’m starving. But, can’t go out because it’s Sunday. His best plan is to go to a friends frat house and have pb&j. No joking. And he talks and hangs out with the frat guys and leaves me in the stinky mini kitchen to eat my sandwich. The drive home was about the same as the ride up. I wasn’t even going to try at this point! But on a happier note, I got a new cell phone a few days later, and never gave him my new #. And I didn’t transfer his into the new phone either!!!
I was dating this guy and we stopped by his house to say hello to a few of his “friends.” They turned out to be Mormon missionaries who were there to talk to ME! I felt so uncomfortable, not about the religion but how he got me there.
